Email reaches anyone with an address and suits longer messages, receipts and a final fallback.
Send from your domain
Section titled “Send from your domain”- Go to Settings → Channels and choose Connect Email.
- Enter your domain, for example
yourcompany.com. - Renotify shows a few DNS records. Add them at your DNS provider (where your domain is managed).
- The channel shows Awaiting DNS until the records are visible, which can take up to a few hours. Choose Check now to look again. Once verified, email is ready.
Sending from your own domain, with these records in place, is what keeps your email out of spam folders.
Writing for email
Section titled “Writing for email”Each automation step and broadcast has its own email subject and body, with the same {{placeholders}} as other channels. See Variables.
Unsubscribes, bounces and complaints
Section titled “Unsubscribes, bounces and complaints”- Every marketing email ends with an unsubscribe link and carries a one-click unsubscribe header, which mail apps show as an “Unsubscribe” button. A customer who uses either stops receiving email from you straight away, and their marketing consent is withdrawn.
- A bounce fails the message as Email bounced. If the address doesn’t exist (a permanent bounce), it’s suppressed and never emailed again. A temporary bounce, such as a full mailbox, isn’t.
- A spam complaint suppresses the address straight away.
See Failure reasons.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”Email is paid from your messaging balance at a flat price per message.
